About the Pilar Pobil Legacy Foundation:
The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to secure the legacy of artist Pilar Pobil. They are committed to preserving her Salt Lake City home and continuing her contributions to the arts through educational programs and exhibitions for the community.
Filled with Pilar’s work and her eclectic style of furnishings, the home expresses Pobil’s Spanish heritage. The spectacular gardens are a social center in the warmer months while the house and studio are open throughout the year. In addition to the annual 3-day event, “Art in Pilar’s Garden”, which features both local and international artists and has become a mainstay of the Utah art scene, there are year-round educational, literary, musical and visual-art happenings.
The specific purpose for the foundation is to raise money to purchase Pilar’s home and assure that it is preserved in perpetuity as a center for exhibits, retreats, educational programs and workshops.
